EMAIL FLOW FAQ'S
What is an email flow?
An email flow is a series of automated emails triggered by a customer’s behaviour or stage in their journey. Rather than manually sending each campaign, flows automatically deliver the right message at the right time — from welcoming new subscribers to following up after a purchase.
What types of email flows can you design?
We design and build welcome series, abandoned cart emails, browse abandonment, post-purchase journeys, onboarding sequences, win-back campaigns, re-engagement emails and complete customer lifecycle flows. If you have a more bespoke journey in mind, we can build around that too.
Can you design and build the whole email flow?
Yes. We can take care of the complete process, from mapping the journey and designing each email through to development, testing and delivery. We can also handle just the design or development if you already have part of the process covered.
Which platforms can you build automated email flows in?
We work across platforms including Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo and Pardot. Depending on your setup, we can build directly within your platform or provide everything your internal team needs to implement the flow.
Can you improve an email flow we already have?
Absolutely. If your existing automated emails are outdated, inconsistent or simply not performing as well as they should, we can review the journey and redesign individual emails or the complete flow.
How many emails should an automated email flow contain?
There isn’t a magic number. A simple abandoned cart flow might only need a few carefully timed emails, while an onboarding or customer lifecycle journey could contain considerably more. We recommend the structure based on the customer journey and what each email actually needs to achieve.
Do you create email flows for ecommerce brands?
Yes. Ecommerce is particularly well suited to automated email flows, including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, review, cross-sell and win-back journeys. We design them around your brand and customer experience rather than relying on generic templates.
Do you test automated emails before they go live?
Yes. We QA the emails and test important elements such as responsive behaviour, links, layout and rendering before delivery. Where we’re working directly within your email platform, we can also make sure the individual emails are ready to be used within the wider automation.
Can you create a complete customer lifecycle email journey?
Yes. We can look beyond individual automations and create a connected email experience across the customer lifecycle, from someone’s first interaction with your brand through to purchase, retention and re-engagement.
